Ozark Boys and Girls Club Teen Center ribbon cut, opening valuable

A dream turned into reality for Jessica Moore, Executive Director of the Ozark Boys & Girls Club (BGC), as the club officially cut the ribbon on its highly anticipated Teen Center on December 17. Located on Andrews Avenue in the building that once housed the Ozark Board of Education offices, the Teen Center represents a significant step in the club’s commitment to the community’s youth, expanding its offerings to include teens aged 14 to 18.

For years, Moore and the team at BGC had envisioned a dedicated space for local teens. While the existing club has served younger children ages 6-13, the Teen Center will now cater to a much-needed group that often lacked after-school options. “Our goal is to provide a safe and engaging environment for teens who need a place to go after school, especially those without extracurricular activities or after-school jobs,” said Moore.
