The Crawdad and Music Festival is held on the Square in the Downtown Entertainment District of Ozark, Alabama, during the first weekend in April. Spend the day with family and friends enjoying this free festival featuring music, delicious food, fun children's activities, a unique selection of arts and crafts, an antique car show, and lots more.

Dale County has a wide variety of scrumptious cuisine served in locally-owned restaurants. Our region is well-known for its southern-style “home cooking” served up deliciously at establishments such as Ann’s Restaurant and Hoppergrass. Fantastic options for steaks, BBQ, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, and Italian are available when the mood strikes you.

Ozark’s Big Bopper Burger at Our Place Diner and the lasagna and specialty pizzas at DiFilippo’s Pizza have been listed on the Alabama Tourism Department’s list of 100 Best Dishes to Eat in Alabama.

Ozark’s Downtown Entertainment District is the place to be for a night on the town or a homegrown festival! Businesses along the downtown square are allowed to supply alcohol beverages during events like the Crawdad and Music Festival in April. Check out the family-friendly beer garden, Benchmark Beer and Wine, and Happy Times, Ozark’s hometown hangout featuring a lively bar, 80s-style arcade, and karaoke. Rock out at Live at Harlow’s, Ozark’s premier music and arts venue!

Buy fresh, buy local! Enjoy a season of fresh produce, plants, flowers, and artisan crafts from May through late July in Ozark Farmers Market’s new location on North Union Avenue across from Ozark City Hall. Check the Everything Ozark Facebook page for times and schedules.

This annual event in the Dale County AgPlex Arena features bull riding, team roping, barrel racing, calf roping, bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding and breakaway roping, entertainment, vendors, and more. Mark your calendar for the third Friday and Saturday of August!
