Fort Novosel Fortifies Our Labor Force with Skilled Workers
Dale County is the home to Fort Novosel the U.S. Army Aviation Center Of Excellence. Known also as the “Home of Army Aviation,” it covers 64,000 acres and houses 20,210 people. The installation creates an annual economic impact of around $2 billion.
The thousands of service members, contract employees, and families support the economy of the base's surrounding communities. As one of the largest employers in Alabama, Fort Novosel is the primary training center for Army aviation and other centers, including:
