Rose’s to Open New Store in Ozark

Ozark, AL (December 3, 2013) - Variety Wholesalers, Inc., a leading discount store retailer has announced plans to open a new Roses store in Ozark, Alabama, according to City of Ozark Mayor Billy Blackwell. “The City Council and I have worked together with the Ozark-Dale County Economic Development Corporation (ODEC) to secure the location of a Rose’s.  Our economic development team was strategic in identifying Rose’s as a good fit for Ozark and the City Council, ODEC, Martindale Properties, LLC and Variety Wholesalers all worked together to partner to bring Rose’s to Ozark,” said Blackwell.

Eric Basinger, Executive Director of the Ozark-Dale County Economic Development Corporation attributes the Rose’s location to the work his organization does at retail trade shows and having a retail marketing plan.  “Thanks to our investors we were able to implement a retail marketing plan in early 2013 which gave us access to quality information that retailers need for us to close deals for communities in Dale County. We went to the International Council of Shopping Centers trade show this spring with Rose’s high on our list of targets and were able to facilitate the deal for the City of Ozark,” said Basinger.

The new store is located at 1177 Andrews Avenue, Martindale Plaza.  Plans are for renovations to begin immediately and for Rose’s to be open by May of 2014.

Rose’s will sell Clothing, Accessories & Shoes for the entire family, Home Furnishings, Home Décor, Housewares, Toys, Food & Candy, Health & Beauty products, Giftware, Small Electronics and Seasonal products.
